A woman gave birth to a baby girl during a car accident and the police helped her to find the baby in the dark.
On Monday, Crystan Graham went into labor early morning and her mother, Krystal Jones, rushed her to the hospital.
However, due to the wet roads, her car crashed into the gate of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Lilburn, Georgia.
Graham was sitting in the back seat at the time of the accident and gave birth during the crash.
But, she couldn’t find her baby in the dark.
Lilburn police officer Danny Bride happened to be there at the time of the crash and three more officers joined him at the scene.
The bodycam footage shows Bride asking: “Where was the baby at?” after Jones told them they couldn’t find the baby in the dark and wreckage.
Jones replied: “We don’t know! I was just trying to get to the hospital.”
They thought the baby might have gone out of the window when the car crashed into the gate of the temple and it was very hard for them to find the newborn due to the wreckage.
They searched everywhere but the newborn was nowhere to be found.
Finally, Bride told other officers to check under the middle-row seat of Jones’ SUV and when they checked, they found the newborn there who weighed just 3 pounds 9 ounces.
Bride can be heard saying in the video: “We got your baby. Looks to be fine. She’s breathing and moving just fine.”
Jones replies: “Thank you, Jesus! She’s alive!”
They rushed the baby and her mother to the Gwinnett Medical Center.
Baby Cea Anderson is still in the neonatal intensive care unit while Graham has been discharged.
When the officer asked about the incident, he said he was thankfully was at the right place at the right time and it was a great way to end the shift.
