A woman has shared how she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her after he accidentally sent her a live photo.
Serena Kerrigan took to TikTok and showed the photo she received from her boyfriend who told her how much he missed her.
The picture of a bed with a stuffed toy seemed innocent until she clicked the live version of the photo. Thanks, iPhone!
After playing the live version of the photo, she immediately realized that her boyfriend was not alone in the hotel room as it revealed a woman jumping onto the bed.
Serena shared the live photo on TikTok, writing: “When the man you’re dating says he misses you but then you click the live photo” alongside crossbones and skull emoji. She also added: “Looks like you have some company.”
One person commented: “My haw dropped faster than she did.”
Another wrote: “You best believe I’m going through every pic in my phone right now.”
When some TikTok users asked whether it was true or just a joke, Serena said in the comments that sadly it is ‘100 percent’ true.
iPhone’s live photo function captures 1.5 seconds of footage before and after a still image is taken.
“With Live Photos, your iPhone records what happens 1.5 seconds before and after you take a picture,” Apple said on its website.
“What you get is more than a great photo; it’s a moment captured with movement and sound. You take a Live Photo just like you do a traditional photo.”
“Have your ringer up when you play the live photo because you can also hear the audio,” another TikTok user commented.
“If you save a photo to your camera roll you can see the location where it was taken,” one person said.
