A woman who was dumped by her boyfriend was shocked when she met him on Tinder after 18 months of their split.
Cristina Sarrou said her boyfriend Harrison Kingshott wanted to live a single life and the couple ended their relationship because of his carefree nature.
The 32-year-old from Seaford, East Sussex, first met Harrison, 28, seven years ago at a boxing club and they get along instantly. Tina said: “He was just really funny. Even if he annoyed me he would turn it around and he was always nice, kind and thoughtful.”
But soon, she got annoyed with his carefree attitude and the couple decided to split. Harrison admitted it was his fault, saying. “I was a sesh gremlin.”
”I used to go out all the time. I was one of those boyfriends who would go out on the beer too much. I moved to Australia to get away from Tina. I was sick of us being at one another’s throats all the time. That was the furthest geographical place away from her. I would still be there now if we hadn’t reunited.”
Tina who had always wanted to relocate Australia packed her bags and flew away to start a new life. But just after two weeks, Tina who was dating someone else at that time matched with Harrison on Tinder and messaged him.
“What are you doing here?” she asked him in a message and the pair decided to meet that night. She said: “He took me to Sydney Harbor and we just hit it off straight away. It was really nice seeing him again and he always makes me laugh so much.”
“We ended up getting a hotel and at the time he said he was seeing another girl but it wasn’t serious.”
Tina says her relationship in the UK wasn’t healthy: “I was running a business and it was really stressful but he was still living the typical lad lifestyle.
“We would constantly have rows and it just got to the stage where enough was enough. We were rowing like Smithy and Nessa.”
After reconnecting, the pair get back together and Harrison’s then-girlfriend showed him the door for spending a night with Tina. Tina and Harrison now have moved to Sussex and expecting their first child.
Harrison popped up the question to Tina and she agreed to marry him. Harrison joked: “If it is a boy we are calling him Neil after Smithy’s baby.”
“Thankfully she agreed to marry me. Who knows if Smithy will agree to marry Nessa but I’m excited to spend the rest of my life with Tina.”
Harrison who is constantly compared to James Corden always gets mistaken for the actor.
Tina said: “He is always being asked for selfies and it has gotten out of hand since Carpool Karaoke took off. We can’t go anywhere without people coming up and asking to take a photo with him.
“Harrison will come into my salon and my clients will go ‘do you know who he looks like?’ and I say yes we get it all the time.
“Harrison is better looking than James Corden and is funnier because he doesn’t even have to act. They also dress the same with smart T-shirts and trousers.”
The amazing thing is Harrison shares the same birthday as James however, they have a 13-year age gap.
Harrison said: “I am the real-life Smithy. We sound the same too.
“People have asked me to phone their moms so they can see me. I say I will if you buy me a Bacardi – it means I get constant free drinks.
“I always tell people it is not me but they call me a liar and then I just go along with it. The fatter I get the more I look like him.”
Tina added: “I didn’t think he looked like James but other people did. I recognized the Gavin and Stacey reference once he put on a bit more weight. We are both big fans of the show.”
