A woman has opened up about her beauty hacks as she revealed she uses her breast milk on her face because of its many benefits.
30-year-old Si Si Shoffman from Scotland is a mother and a blogger who claims that applying colostrum – a golden milky fluid released by breasts during pregnancy and shortly after birth – to her face comes with magical benefits.
Sharing her skincare technique on Instagram, the mom dubbed breast milk ‘liquid gold’ as she urged people to start using it on their skin.
“WHY I USED MY OWN COLOSTRUM ON MY FACE?! ATTENTION ALL MAMAS AND MAMAS TO BE… it’s called liquid gold for a reason. Get that liquid gold ON YOUR FACE!” Shoffman expressed.
The 30-year-old then went on to list a series of alleged health benefits of applying the substance to the skin.
“It’s magically anti-inflammatory. It stimulates the production of normal healthy skin bacteria, which will fight any problematic bacteria (almost like your own natural probiotic),” she added.
“It can topically help any hormonal imbalances when applied on the skin. It naturally contains growth factors which essentially make the skin regenerate meaning it’s anti-aging.”
While she admitted some people may find her solution crazy, Shoffman insisted that those who refuse to give it a try are missing out on a lot. She also went on to urge expectant moms and new mothers to follow in her footsteps and use excess colostrum on their faces.
After sharing her beauty hacks on the internet, the 30-year-old managed to surprise her followers who found the idea rather useful.
“Contemplating having a baby just for the perfect skin,” someone wrote.
“This is so cool! Your skin is glowing!” another one said.
