It was a sight to behold for every beachgoer in South Carolina on a Monday morning.
A group of sharks was on a feeding frenzy drive near the coast of the Myrtle Beach.
It all happened when a swarm of fish was spotted by beachgoers and right afterward the large fins were seen chasing after them!
WBTW reported the complete event as panic spread immediately along the beach and out of it Tara Savedge and her husband also spotted the unusual happening.
No doubt that the sighting was bizarre and extremely rare, Tara’s husband quickly ensured that their kids get out of the water as soon as possible.
In the meanwhile, Tara took out her cell phone and recorded the complete event. Some other highlights from the incident are also mentioned here.
They may have been spinner sharks – Tara says that she heard that the sharks may have been of the spinner shark variety because they were making spinning leaps while catching the fishes.
However, no official confirmation came in till the last reports were drafted. However, Tara did say that the lifeguards mentioned that the sharks were four to six feet long and that was the reason why they were assuming it to be of the said variety.
Nonetheless, it was an awesome sight for every visitor at the beach as the sharks swam after the bunch of leaping fishes coming out of the water at times.
The complete area was sanitized pretty soon – The lifeguards on duty immediately ensured that no untoward incident takes place at the beach.
The complete area was cleared off by them for the next hour with magnificent precision and deft handling.
It also helped to ensure that nobody was there in the sea at the time and people could only watch the occurrence from a distance. Due to the presence of the alert lifeguards, the situation was handled pretty well.
