Have you ever tried to do something creative with cardboard?
If you answered no and wonder if being creative with a cardboard is even possible, you are in luck! We are about to show you some amazing art pieces by a Japanese artist who put meaning and value into cardboards. If you are like me, you probably only use cardboard boxes as storage boxes and not more than that. But for this artist, cardboard is just a different type of medium to show her creative talent.
Monami Ohno is a talented artist who can create highly-detailed sculptures and replicas out of cardboard. Some of her work includes watches, popular snacks, cars, robots, and pop culture characters. Check out the dress she made below!
Ohno is a student at Osaka School of Arts in Japan and she decided to use discarded Amazon boxes as her main medium.
She said: ”I tried making something out of [the boxes], I found out that cardboard is a surprisingly fun medium to work with, and from there I really started getting into creating with it!”
Ohno has proved that you don’t need expensive materials to show your creative side, even discarded materials can turn into masterpieces if you are creative enough to make a piece of art. She has more than 10K followers on Instagram and shares her pieces of art with them.
It must take a lot of work to create each piece of art, and they look so realistic too!
