A 23 years old woman has demanded that her identity should not be revealed in the public and for the same, her video of beating the elderly woman should not go out in the media.
The case started when Cori Glencross, the 23 years old woman bashed a 75 years old woman on the bus. Now the woman says that it is a matter of her safety as she has received threats by people.
But the magistrate working on the case said that she would rule out the demand as she wants the case to be a public judgment which means people will have to see the video and make their decision.
The magistrate said that the act was demeaning, cruel and, filthy and thus there is no chance that the judge will try to take it down of social media.
If it were for Cori, they would not have been able to publish the video on social media in front of all the people.
Cori’s lawyer Shelley Buchecker stated in the court that the release of the video is a serious threat to Cori’s safety as people has started warning her Facebook.
To answer the same Ann McGarvie rejected the plea and continued in her way to release the video to the public.
She said that she even went through all the notifications and has read thoroughly but there is no chance that she is keeping the right of publicity out of the hand of the public.
The video that has already gone viral was recorded by one of Cori’s friends and was then later published for the people to watch.
She believes that the case deserves an open judgment by the people and not just the magistrate or a person sitting at a higher position in society.
