25-Year-Old Lost 16 Stone After She Couldn’t Fit On A Roller Coaster During Her Dream Holiday


A 25-year-old nurse, who once weighed 32 stone 13lbs, has now lost 16 stone after an embarrassing incident.

Fiona West, who would regularly eat at McDonald’s, was told by doctors she would probably die before turning 30.

But, when she went on a dream holiday to Florida, she has turned away from roller coasters at Disney World and Universal Studios because she was too fat for the ride.

Fiona, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, was the bag holder the whole day and then decided to make changes in her lifestyle.

She told the Daily Record: “I have been big since I was a child and I had tried various things over the years to lose weight.”

“I had been to dietitians, hospital weight management programmes and had been told by several doctors that I would be in a coffin before I was 30.”

She said when she went to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park before, she couldn’t fit on the rides because of her size so she lost nine stone before going to Florida.

But, when she has turned away from roller coasters at Disney World and Universal Studios, she decided to give up unhealthy food and habits completely.

Fiona has now lost 16 stone after ditching unhealthy food and starting a healthy diet and joining a gym.

She also decided to go back to Disney World and Universal Studios every year to inspire herself to keep losing weight.

Fiona said: “When I went in October and was able to fit on every ride I felt like crying with happiness.”

She now eats healthy food, including salads and pizzas made from cauliflower.

She also attends regular fitness classes and hopes to lose more weight before getting married to her fiancee Christopher Cochrane.

Fiona, who joined Instagram to get inspiration from people, is now inspiring millions of people.

She said: “I get a lot of support from followers on Instagram who are going through something similar. If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
