A loving pet owner has gone viral after it was found out that she’s selling cupcakes in order to raise funds to pay for her dog’s treatment.
As 24-year-old Veronica Yoselin Martinez Macias revealed, she was devastated when her husky named Max developed tumors all over his body.
According to the young Mexican woman, she adopted the pooch just weeks before finding out he was full of lumps.
“He has a lump in his neck, he was treated by the vet who said it was an infection and it became smaller but then I touched his body and realized he has lumps all over his body,” she said.
In order to be able to pay for the dog’s treatment, Veronica, who is a passionate pet hairdresser, also started selling cupcakes on the street.
“I paid 400 MXN ($20) for vitamins and 1,200 MXN ($60) for the biopsy. I also have savings in case something happens and I need to take him to the vet,” she said.
While waiting for the results of the biopsy, the woman has started preparing for the worst and saving money to pay for Max’s future medical expenses.
“He will need chemotherapy to remove the lumps but the doctor does not know what kind he will need yet,” she said.
As the animal lover also added, she sold over 200 cupcakes in just one week with the help of Max who holds a little billboard asking people to support their cause by making a purchase.
