A woman was left stunned after finding out who was responsible for stealing her Amazon package.

After realizing that her goods had been stolen, Kristin Levine from Bristol, Connecticut, decided to review the security footage only to gobsmacked after finding out who the thief was.

As seen in the footage Kristin shared online, a black bear walked up to her property before biting into her package and walking away with it.

“Yea so if anyone sees an Amazon package in the Chippens Hill area with my name on it… feel free to bring it back?” the woman wrote in her post.

As it happens, the black bear didn’t get what it hoped for since the package included nothing but toilet paper.

Fortunately for Kristin, the package was later discovered in the yard of one of her neighbors.

“Amazon had dropped off the packages maybe five minutes before and I got the alert on my security camera and then I got a second alert five minutes later and I was like taken aback because I wasn’t expecting anyone else in my driveway,” the shocked homeowner recalled in an interview with NBC Connecticut.

While Kristin admitted locals are already used to seeing bears in the area, she never expected one to go so near her house and steal a package in the process.

“We’re definitely used to bears around our neighborhood. Although I’ve never actually had one take a package out of my garage before! And this guy was quite a big one!” she told McClatchy News.

According to the reports, the black bear population continues to rise in the state of Connecticut. In search of food, these animals often wander off to residential areas. Should one see them, they should immediately contact wildlife authorities and avoid approaching or provoking the animal.
