A young woman has tragically passed away after getting involved in a car crash in California last Wednesday.
32-year-old Monique Munoz was a kindhearted young lady who died on the spot during a two-vehicle car crash in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the reports, the receptionist, who aspired to go to law school, was left wedged in her wrecked car after colliding with a Lamborghini driven by a 17-year-old male who suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
As the authorities have confirmed, the speed of the driver of the sports car definitely played a role in the deadly accident, whereas the victim’s stepfather suggested the teen was driving at 120 mph at the time of the incident.
“The child had a heart of gold, never hurt anybody, did everything right,” Isaac Cardona said of his stepdaughter in an interview with CBS.
“Kids racing down the street in a Lamborghini, 17 years old in a Lamborghini doing 120 miles per hour, hits and kills her. Senseless. I want him prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
As of this writing, the driver of the Lamborghini has not been arrested and no charges have been filed against him.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been set up to financially support Monique’s family during these hard times.
“For those of you who knew Monique, you know all of this already but, for those who didn’t – this beautiful, accomplished woman was the heart and happiness of her family and was taken from us much too soon,” the page reads.
“Her family and friends were her life, she never missed a family gathering or a chance to help a friend and she only had love and kindness in her heart.
“We are all in shock and finding it impossible to fathom the reality of her unexpected passing. Please join us in supporting Monique’s family as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy. May God bless our beautiful girl and keep her in the comfort of Your arms.”
Our thoughts are with Monique’s family.
