Woman Makes Look-Alike Dolls For Children With Disabilities To Make Them Feel Special


A woman from Wisconsin wants to make sure no child feels different, so she decided to create look-alike dolls for kids with disabilities.

Amy Jandrisevits makes dolls that look like their adorable owners, coming in all forms and shapes, with unique bodily features and conditions.

She sews dolls for her non-profit ‘A Doll Like Me’ and brings joy to children from all over the world.

Amy made her first ‘Doll Like Me’ around five years ago when her friend’s child, a trans, started transitioning. When her friend shared the photo online, people began asking the kindhearted woman if she could also make one for their children, according to Today.

“It is a really hard sell to tell a kid, ‘You are perfect the way you are,’ and to build self-esteem that way but never offer them anything that looks like them,” she expressed.point 278 |
