Watch Bundy and Cox share their story

The woman donated her kidney to a firefighter who responded when her daughter was having a seizure.
In 2016, Becca Bundy’s 1-year-old daughter was having a seizure. She called for help and volunteer firefighter Bill Cox arrived at the scene.
“I got there and helped settle people down until an ambulance could get there and take care of her,” Cox told CNN.
Thanks to Cox, Bundy’s daughter survived.
“He seemed to care, it wasn’t just another call,” Bundy told KARE.
Bundy didn’t know she would be able to return the favour one day.
Two years later, when Bundy was at a benefit at a bar, she saw Cox in a green shirt.
His shirt read: “My name is Bill. I’m in end stage kidney failure and in need of a kidney. Type B and Type O.”
Bundy decided to return the favour as she was so grateful to Cox for saving her daughter’s life.
“I couldn’t get it out of my head. I just said, ‘I’m the one and I know it,’” Bundy said.
Cox was born with only one kidney and had been searching for a match since 2017.
Thankfully, Bundy was his perfect match.
In 2019, Bundy donated her kidney to Cox at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Now, their families share an amazing bond. Cox and his wife, Terry are now like grandparents of Bundy’s children.
“We continue to speak on a regular basis and do our best to get together as often as we can,” Bundy said.
Cox said: “She’s my angel. She saved my life.”
