A woman in her 30s was left with ‘two faces’ after a botched Botox treatment at a medical spa.
34-year-old Whitney Buha is an influencer from Chicago, Illinois, who has been documenting her recovery after a cosmetic procedure left her with a wonky face.
As the young lady revealed on Instagram, she was left looking like Two-Face after side-effects of her Botox treatment caused one of her eyelids to droop. After her one of her eyes started drooping, the other overcompensated for the impaired vision by bulging out of its socket.
“I can’t believe I’m going to show you guys this, but I’m getting a ton of questions about what happened with the Botox. A lot of you get Botox. You didn’t know this is possible. I didn’t know this was possible either,” the vlogger said in one of her videos.
While the 34-year-old has been getting Botox injections ever since she turned 30, this is allegedly the first time she experienced problems.
“As you can see, my right eye is very wide open right now. I swear it’s wider than it was before Botox. I look like Two-Face. It’s so embarrassing. I can’t believe I’m showing this,” she added.
After the unexpected turn of events, Whitney reached out to a plastic surgeon who told her they’d never seen an eyelid sag so much before. Fortunately for the blogger, however, the condition is only temporary.
For two weeks following her procedure, Whitney kept on taking daily photos to monitor her progress, and she recently pointed out that she sees improvement when it comes to her condition.
“I was getting scared that a) this was going to be permanent or b) this was going to really affect my eyes or my vision long term,” the 34-year-old said in an interview with BuzzFeed News.
“I feel like the year that we’ve all had, it’s just been such a crazy year and it’s not been a great year for anybody. So this was kind of another thing that I’m like, Well, this is just something that’s happening, and we’re just going to get past it.”
While the influencer admitted she’ll be more careful when it comes to choosing the medical spa to give her Botox injections next time, she insisted that the ordeal won’t stop her from undergoing cosmetic procedures in the future.
