Many of us try to come up with excuses to end the conversation but there are times when it is almost impossible to escape.
But one TikToker shared a smart idea on how to start your every call so you can hang up faster without sounding rude.
The TikToker has shared the life hack and all you have to say are these five words: “My phone’s about to die….”
Saying these words allows you to hang up whenever you want as the other person will simply think that your phone just ran out of battery.
The clip has been watched more than 38,000 times and gained thousands of comments and likes.
Many people admitted to doing the trick in the comments, with one person writing: “I’ve been doing this for years tbh.”
Another wrote: “My mom does this.”
A third said: “Don’t tell people my secrets.”
Others don’t understand the need for those five words, with one person commenting: “I don’t understand this. I mean, you have something to say so you phone someone, say what you want to say, then say “bye” and hang up. Why would I hang up faster and not say all I needed to say? Is this another ‘genius hack’ which is utter hogwash?”
Another commented: “Or just say “sorry I can’t talk right now, I’ll call you later” instead of lying and having to leave litter by the phone.”
Someone else said: “If you don’t want to speak on the phone don’t answer it.”
