A CCTV footage has captured the hilarious moment a woman fleeing the police through the air duct of a convenience store falls through the ceiling into the hands of waiting cops.
The incident happened at the Reddi Mart store in Alberta, Canada, on June 25.
Cops were notified when Richard Pariseau, 28, and Britanny Burke, 29, used a stolen credit card to buy a soda can from the convenience store.
In the footage that was recorded, Pariseau and Burke can be seen trying to flee the store as a cop enters the store, but the officer quickly grabs both of them at the exit.
However, the cop fails to keep holding the duo and Pariseau manages to escape within the store as he can’t move out due to the guard on exit.
The guard then holds Burke as the cop rushes towards Pariseau, now with a Taser in his hand. Seeing the raised Taser, Pariseau drops to the ground but tries to flee again as the cop approaches him.
This time, the man even tries to grab the Taser from the officer’s hand, prompting the cop to unleash the weapon on him.
As Pariseau is held up by the cop, Burke manages to flee inside the store where she succeeds in entering the store’s ventilation system.
However, she soon falls down from a weaker portion of the ceiling onto a product display, only to be arrested by the cops which arrived as the backup.
The woman also tries to flee again as she drops to the ground but is helpless against the group of Taser-carrying reinforcements.
The duo has been arrested and charged with several offenses. Burke was charged with mischief, failure to comply with an undertaking and obstructing a police officer.
While, Pariseau has been charged with eleven offenses, including resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and using a stolen credit card.
