Social media is not that bad, especially when it comes to connecting distant or sometimes lost people.
There have been many such instances in the past. And just recently, an Indian woman has found her ‘missing’ husband from a TikTok video.
Jayapradha had lost all hope of reuniting with her husband Suresh after he left his home in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, three years ago, according to Times of India.
Suresh left behind his two children when he fled his home in 2016 after getting angry with Jayapradha over some household issues, The New Indian Express reported.
Jayapradha filed a first information report with the local police but the cops failed to trace the man.
Now, after more than three years of search, the woman saw her ‘lost’ hubby in a TikTok clip where he could be seen with another woman in the background.
It was later revealed that Suresh had moved to Hosur, in Tamil Nadu, after he left his wife and children.
He started working as a mechanic and even developed a relationship with a transgender woman – the one that was seen with him in the video.
The TikTok clip was first seen by Jayapradha’s cousin, who showed it to the woman to confirm whether the man seen in the background was Suresh or not.
After he was identified, the Villupuram police managed to trace him in Hosur.
The police said in a statement released to the Times of India: “We traced them down with the help of the transgender association in Villupuram.
“We have counseled Jayapradha and Suresh and have sent them back home.”
Suresh has reportedly agreed to return back to his home in Krishnagiri, according to a statement obtained by The News Minute.
The Villupuram police told the outlet: “We asked him whether he wanted to go back to his wife and kids. He agreed to go back. Therefore, we sent the couple back.”
