A woman reportedly took the life of her friend by making her drink eye drops after stealing $290,000 from her.
37-year-old Jessy Kurczewski has been charged with the murder of his friend, who hasn’t been named as of this writing, after the woman’s death last year.
According to the reports, the Wisconsin suspect poisoned her friend with eye drops and made her death look like a suicide after stealing nearly $300,000 from her.
The investigation into the death of Jessy’s friend began after Kurczewski called the authorities and claimed to have found her friend dead in her home.
While the woman placed painkillers on her friend’s chest and insisted that she was suicidal, an autopsy revealed that Kurczewski’s friend was poisoned with tetrahydrozoline, a key ingredient found in eye drops.
Following the revelation, Kurczewski claimed that her friend drank her eye drops on purpose before admitting that she was the one who bought six bottles.
As the 37-year-old insisted, she had no idea that the medication would kill her friend because she had allegedly already been drinking the drops before.
After further investigation, the police found out that Kurczewski obtained $290,000 from the victim back in 2018. It was also concluded that more than $130,000 of the total sum was “transferred fraudulently” via check.
The suspect has since been charged with homicide and felony theft. As of this writing, it is not yet clear how the defendant plans to plead.
