Jessica Delfino in her mid 20’s always imagined to have a baby anytime soon but didn’t know that fate had written something else for her.
The woman who wished to have a baby early on ended up having one when she reached 40.
Sixteen years back, a 24-year-old Jessica told her boyfriend to make her pregnant, or her eggs will die soon enough. The couple didn’t make it through and got separated due to some reason.
A Craiglist advertisement was posted seven years later by the 31-year-old Jessica who made the ad sound very clear. She wrote that she wants a man who in the near future wishes to have a family just like her and she eventually did found her lucky man.
The guy she found was Alex who was eight years younger than her. Deep down after meeting Alex, Jessica was clear in her head that for some years she won’t be able to fulfill her long-awaited dream of becoming a mother.
As she guessed, things really turned out to be the same way. Alex and Jessica got married to each other when Jessica was 36, and the wedding ceremony was done in Cape May, New Jersey on a unicorn back.
Even now the couple wasn’t ready to conceive a baby because of their financial stability. Two years later they both decided that they are now financially capable of welcoming a baby into this world. Jessica found out in April that she was pregnant for the first time. She was 38 during the time.
Jessica’s doctor after 10 months informed that she had not witnessed any signs of the baby’s heartbeat and as it turned out she experienced a miscarriage shortly.
The news was a heartbreaker for Jessica. By now she began to contemplate all the stuff that she read about having a baby in the early 30’s and even started to consider the idea of adoption.
Post-miscarriage Jessica was told that she has a lump present in her breast. She now had to go through all the procedural tests, and after all the clinical assessments, her lump was declared to be benign.
She got operated for the same was informed by the doctors that she is now safe to try for conceiving again.
Fortunately, Jessica was pregnant again when she was 39. She gave birth to a baby boy and had turned 40 by now. She was thrilled before the pregnancy but took a plunge emotionally post her pregnancy as some mothers do. It took her at least a year to get out of that phase, but now she is always at ease with her 1-year-old son.
