And ever since it emerged online, it has sparked outrage on social media.

Before creating any more suspense, let’s just dive straight into it. The gross moment we have been talking about took place at a supermarket in San Antonio.

In the creepy video clip that has now gone viral on the internet, a woman can be seen opening a jar of ice cream. It’s not something to get mad at, right? Just hold on.

The lady didn’t just stop there. She licked the ice-cream (yes, you read that right, she LICKED it) and then put it back into the freezer.

And while she was pulling out this devilish act, there’s a big evil smile on her face, as can be seen in the now-viral eight-second-long footage.

She put it back so smartly that any unsuspecting customer would easily purchase it.

After the video was shared online, it received over 8 million views on just Twitter. The video led to an uproar, with some people suggesting that the woman should be reported to the police.

The ice cream company, Blue Bell Creameries, later responded with a statement, saying: ‘We want to thank our consumers for alerting us to the recent food tampering incident.

‘We take this issue very seriously and are currently working with law enforcement, retail partners and social media platforms. This type of incident will not be tolerated.

‘Food safety is a top priority, and we work hard to provide a safe product and maintain the highest level of confidence from our consumers.

‘During production, our half gallons are flipped upside down and sent to a hardening room where the ice cream freezes to the lid creating a natural seal. The lids are frozen tightly to the carton.

‘Any attempt at opening the product should be noticeable. We will continue to monitor this situation.’
