The coronavirus pandemic has created immense panic and fear in the mind of people.
But some people contribute to adding more to the panic by doing gross activities.
In an incident in Northern California, a woman was arrested recently for licking near to $1800 worth of objects, including groceries and jewelry, at a South Lake Tahoe Safeway, as per the reports.
It was reported that the employees called the police after witnessing the woman grab several jewelry pieces and licking them.
She proceeded to load her cart with almost $1800 of merchandise. One employee said to the police that the items in the woman’s cart were deemed unsellable because of cross-contamination.
Jennifer Walker, who is fifty-three-year-old, was arrested and charged for vandalism.
Officers determined that she was unable to pay for the merchandise she put in her cart. Jennifer was booked into El Dorado County Jail. Her bail was fixed at $10,000.
Similar incidents have been reported earlier as well, where people had coughed, sneezed, licked items in a grocery store, which had to be thrown away to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease.
The highly-contagious virus has claimed almost 100,000 deaths all over the world, and the number is increasing speedily every day.
In Texas, a man was arrested because he coughed and spat on a woman while claiming to suffer from the coronavirus disease.
Dr. Daniel López, a government health official in Mexico, tested positive for the coronavirus disease. When he did not get any special treatment, he spat and coughed on the hospital staff. After that, he was fired.
Some days ago, Larz, a social media influencer, filmed himself licking a bowl of a public toilet and uploaded his video on the internet. Later, he was tested positive for Covid-19.
