A woman was locked out of her vehicle by her adorable pet pug named Pete and had to wait several hours to be rescued.
Monica Garcia sent a desperate plea to her family using her iPad after the cuddly pug got himself trapped inside the car.
She sent a message to her family group chat, and it quickly went viral after her son shared the exchanged on Twitter.
“Pete locked me out of my car,” Monica wrote. “My phone is in the car with Pete,” she added.
The desperate mother typed in capital letters: “Send AAA please to our house.”
To make sure his mother was not joking, son Nick asked his mother for a picture, saying “please send a picture.”
Monica didn’t disappoint. She sent an adorable photo of Pete just chilling out inside the car. Her bag can also be seen in the background.
Nick shared the funny story online, saying: “So my dog locked my mom out of her car.”
He also revealed his mother had to wait three hours until she was reunited with her pug. His tweet has been liked 500K times, promoting other pet owners to share adorable pictures of their pets.
Pete now has a huge fan base online, with one person tweeting: “Pugs are so funny bruh, mine always be doing some random sh** like this.”
Another wrote: “That’s Pete’s car now.”
A third said: “Pete is a god amongst other dogs.”
