A woman, who would eat 30 chicken nuggets in one go, has now lost a quarter of her body weight after two miscarriages.
Monica Riley, from Fort Worth, Texas, wanted to become the fattest lady in the world and would eat 10,000 calories a day.
She was 700lbs when she was 28-years-old as her fiancé, Sid would constantly feed her.
But after two miscarriages, Monica, who is now pregnant for the third time, decided to lose weight and now, has lost 201lbs in just ten weeks.
According to DailyMail, Monica said: “At one point in my life, I wanted to be the biggest woman in the world.
I wanted to be bedbound and immobile and be fed ever more. But now that I am pregnant, it’s been a wake-up call.
”After losing 201lbs in just ten weeks, she now weighs 499lbs. Monica, who is now 15 weeks pregnant, says she wants to be active with her child.
“I want to be able to get up and with him or her and be involved in every way. You can’t do that if you’re immobile,” she said.
When she found out she was pregnant for the first time, Monica weighed 700lbs. She would eat six scones, six sausages in a bread roll, sugary cereal, two weight gain shakes, four McChicken sandwiches, four double cheeseburgers, a large French fries, 30 chicken nuggets, macaroni cheese, Taco bell and a gallon of ice cream in a day.
Unfortunately, she suffered a miscarriage.
When she was pregnant for the second time, she started bleeding on Christmas Eve at 14 weeks and suffered another miscarriage.
She said: “I was depressed and crying a lot. I picked myself up and just kept going. I just had to put it behind me and I pretty much pretended that it never happened.”
“I do think my weight affected the previous pregnancies. There is no clear medical evidence but I think if I was healthier the babies would have been stronger. I accept that my eating habits were terrible.”
“I don’t want to lose any more babies and I didn’t realize how dangerous it was to be pregnant at this size before. I want to be healthy enough for the baby to keep growing.”
After two miscarriages, she decided to lose weight.
She says: “I am changing the way I eat, I’m exercising, and taking care of my body. I’m trying to get proper sleep every night and walking every day and I feel different already.”
“I am still very heavy. So walking is still hard but I am getting energy back now.”
“Now, I am eating 2,000 calories a day compared to 10,000, so it is a big difference. There are healthy foods that I absolutely love, like avocados and brussel sprouts. I enjoy chicken breast with steamed vegetables for dinner, but I have to admit that I do miss cheese and pasta.”
Sid said: “We just want the baby to be healthy so we can finally start our life together as a family and maybe even have more kids in the future.”
“I just want to give him or her the best life I can, and that’s all that matters.”
