Lori Alexander, an American blogger who aims to “teach biblical womanhood,” has sparked massive outrage after mocking working mothers and saying that moms who refuse to stay at home have unfulfilling life.
Lori, who runs a blog called The Transformed Wife, shared an insensitive chart in which she compared working mothers with stay-at-home moms.
“Her life is falling apart. She doesn’t feel like she’s a good wife or mother,” the blogger wrote under the ‘working moms’ column. “Her life is fulfilling. Her husband and children rise up and call her blessed!” she added under the ‘stay-at-home moms’ column.
After sharing the chart with her followers, people immediately sparked an online debate where they expressed their disagreement with the blogger.
“Boy oh boy … what a mess this is,” one woman wrote. “This is ridiculous and not true. It’s so sad that you portray working mothers this way,” another one commented.
“So you throw this garbage at them! Many mothers working or stay home are wonderful, loving mums. Don’t degrade other mums for doing the best they can,” someone said.
Despite many people lashing out at Lori for mocking working mothers, however, there were also plenty of women who agreed with the blog.
In another controversial post recently shared on The Transformed Wife, Lori wrote:
“When women decide to do their housework joyfully, even if their husbands never lift a finger to help them, they are serving the Lord and doing what he has called them to do.”
