A 22-year-old mother, from Fazakerley, has died after mysterious bruises appeared on her body.
Sarah Armstrong went to see her doctor after she noticed mysterious bruises on her body and ‘flu-like’ symptoms.
Within a week, the mother suffered a stroke and died from acute myeloid leukemia.
A night before passing away, Sarah was ‘laughing’ with a friend.
She has left behind a two-year-old daughter and her partner.
Sarah’s childhood friend Danielle Johnson said no one is believing that she is no more.
She said Sarah told her that she didn’t know where the bruises were coming from.
Danielle said: “She went to the doctor and they said she would need to get a blood test.
On the same day, they called her to say ‘you need to go to A&E, you’re going to have to go now’.”
She was then told she had acute myeloid leukemia.
On January 24, Sarah was diagnosed with cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells and immediately started chemotherapy treatment on January 29.
Unfortunately, she passed away after suffering a stroke on February 1.
Danielle said Sarah was full of life and was very positive even after being diagnosed.
The night before she died, she was laughing with her friends.
Danielle said: “She was just full of life.
I just can’t believe it, we were sitting there laughing the night before she died. She did everything for everyone.”
“She was always laughing and she always made everyone laugh.
She was an amazing mum, she just always put everyone first.”
Danielle has now shared Sarah’s story in an effort to raise awareness.
She said she is sharing the pictures and Sarah’s story so people can spot the signs early to save their lives.
