A young woman received a shock of her lifetime when she noticed there was a baby’s head popping out of her body despite her not knowing that she was pregnant.
24-year-old Charlotte Dubard from London had been gradually putting on weight while satisfying her sudden sugar cravings for months. It wasn’t until she started experiencing severe stomach cramps, however, that the teen realized something strange was happening inside her body.
Using the camera of her phone, Charlotte inspected the private area down below and was shocked to see a head popping out of her body.
“When Miguel came home, he screamed ‘Oh my god you found a baby in the street!’” the girl recalled after giving birth to a healthy baby boy named Elias.
“I started bawling and said ‘This is ours.’”
After the birth at home, the couple visited the hospital and the mother and her baby were both put in intensive care to make sure they were okay.
“It was only once we got to the hospital that I really registered what had happened,” Charlotte said.
“I was so traumatized from the birth I had barely registered Elias at all.
“But then when we were waiting for the doctor, Miguel said ‘Look he has your nose’ and that’s when I suddenly realized he was ours.”
According to the 24-year-old waitress, she was on contraceptive pills throughout the entire pregnancy and had her periods as usual.
As Charlotte expressed, she feels grateful her son was born healthy despite her drinking, smoking, and overworking throughout the entire mystery pregnancy.
“I call him my miracle baby because he is so healthy after all I put him through,” the mother added.
“Also, so many things could have gone wrong with me giving birth alone but it all went remarkably smoothly.
“I actually didn’t tell my mum right away because she was working and I knew she wouldn’t be able to finish her shift if I told her. I waited until the next day and she was so shocked.
“But my family have been so supportive. They’re very strict Catholics and they see Elias as a miracle. My grandmother says he is a little angel.”
