An angry woman has lashed out at her neighbor and accused them of stealing her food in a furious letter.
As the unnamed Reddit user revealed in her post, she had ordered food only for the delivery driver to drop it off at her neighbor’s home.
After the neighbor picked and gobbled up the free food, the disappointed customer checked the picture the delivery worker took upon delivery in order to trace the recipient of her meal.
Once she figured out where her food ended up, the woman was furious at her neighbor who ate the food knowing it wasn’t meant for them.
“Hi neighbor. I saw that you received my food! I hope it’s sitting well in your belly,” the woman wrote in the letter she submitted to her neighbor.
“I was really looking forward to that pasta. My delivery driver made a mistake but it would have been pretty simple for me to go outside and see it on your step instead. Also, I know you have it because (the company) provides pictures upon delivery.”
After the woman shared her complaint on Reddit, the story quickly went viral and racked up tons of comments.
While some people voiced their support for the woman saying her neighbor shouldn’t eat her food knowing it wasn’t theirs, others suggested the neighbor couldn’t have known what to do with the order since they didn’t know who it was meant for.
“Yeah majority of people won’t go around asking neighbors if the food is yours during the pandemic,” one person wrote.
“I wouldn’t harass my neighbors over a mix up like this,” another Redditer wrote.
One person said: “In all fairness, what were they supposed to do? Go around knocking on doors and asking if they ordered food? Yeah, it’s an inconvenience for the person that ordered it, but they’ll easily get their money back.”
