A large Newfoundland named Darcy loves to swim in a pond at a local park to cool off during the warm months.
But because they have to stay at home, her furmama decided to bring the waters to their garden.
Darcy’s owner, Chelsea Sparks, told The Dodo: “She really enjoys sleeping outside and loves the water. So we wanted to get her something in the back garden that she could swim and paddle around in to cool off.”
But when she ordered a dog pool for the playful pooch, they were both left disappointed by their most-awaited item.
“The postman handed it to my stepdad and he was confused about what it was because it was packaged so small and then when we opened it up we were just hysterically laughing,” Sparks shared.
“I had been pestering him about when this pool was going to arrive as it has been on order for weeks. Then when it arrived and was so small we couldn’t believe it.”
As soon as Darcy saw her ‘pool’ she just could not hide her disappointment.
“We’ve been waiting about six weeks for this dog pool to arrive … I guess we should have checked the sizing better,” Sparks wrote on her Facebook page. “Darcy now has a new drinking bowl … not a pool!”
Sparks ordered another pool for Darcy and this time, she checked the dimensions of the item not just twice but thrice before hitting the order button.
And of course, loving Darcy has forgiven her furmama for the hilarious gift, and she can’t wait for the bigger pool to arrive.
