After being stuck at home, Alicia developed a passion for knitting. She said: “I wanted to go to college but I couldn’t get the transport to get me there. I had to do something with my time so I started picking up my mum’s pencils and doing some drawings.”
“I then got onto painting by numbers but soon got bored of that. I enjoy doing my knitting. I find it therapeutic and relaxing. I’ve always tried to be creative.”
Here’s a video of her knitting using her mouth that will totally surprise you. The video shows how good she actually is at knitting such complex designs.
Alicia says her creations are not difficult and she doesn’t find them good but her friends do.
She says she has supportive friends and family who always encourage her to do good.
She said: “I don’t think they’re particularly good but my friends do. They are very supportive. All my friends and family are telling me to keep up the good work.”
Alicia recently got engaged to her boyfriend Kevin. She encourages people to never give up because of their disability.
She says: “Others should try the same. Never give up.”
