According to sources, a woman was in a hangover after the weekend when she mistakenly typed her home address wrong and ended up paying the enormous amount of £275 after booking the cab to Newcastle from London.
This is quite expensive for a single Uber ride that too if this is committed by mistake.
The name of the woman is Helen Dryden who came to London to spend a few days with her friends. She was supposed to travel back to her home in Guildford when she mistakenly entered the wrong address for her drop location.
The address of Newcastle, where Helen went to university was stored in the location part of Uber which she had forgotten to change and booked the cab accidentally to the same address.
Once she was inside the cab, she fell asleep as a result of her boozing and woke up after approximately two hours when the cab had crossed 60 miles in Milton Keynes.
She immediately informed the driver about her mistake which made him turn the car around and drive another 75 miles at a stretch to reach her home location. The total trip billed Helen £275.
According to later questions, Helen confessed that the entire day cost her £400 in total. She was later embarrassed to drink so much and fall asleep in the cab.
She felt completely devastated once she woke up and was ashamed of her actions.
She later conveyed that she drank to an unbelievable extent and must now emphasize on being more responsible by forgetting this haunting past event that took place because of her silly mistake and overdrinking.
