This is an inspirational story of a woman, who has struggled a lot in her life for being overweight.
She was not supported by her friends even when she started losing weight, and she was told that “you are not perfect yet”.
Nicole Caperilla, 31 years old personal trainer, from Connecticut, went from 266lbs to 140lbs in just two years revealed the story of her friends who used to taunt her even when she was has lost almost half of her body.
Nicole has always been overweight since her childhood. The diet she consumed might be a justification to her gigantic size, consisting of greasy pizzas, burgers and carbohydrate-rich junk foods.
Her dress size eventually became 20, and she started feeling depressed. Her emotional, mental and physical health started declining and that was the point she started thinking of losing weight.
Back in June 2017, Nicole had a weight loss surgery known as “Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy VSG”. This surgery involved removing a large part of her stomach, restriction the quantities of food she can eat in the future.
Within a few days after her surgery, she started exercising and changed her diet plan.
Nicole added protein-rich foods such as lean meats like chicken, ground turkey and fish in her daily diet plan. She consumed oatmeal in breakfast, sweet potatoes with vegetables in lunch and protein, carbs and vegetables in dinner.
Besides diet, she also started working out 5-6 days per week. In June 2018, Nichole almost lost 126lbs, dropping to 140lbs, and the good was that she now fits in dress size 4.
According to Nicole, “I have struggled with my weight since I was a child but got rid of it. During my first pregnancy, I put on so much weight and couldn’t lose it. I tried every diet and supplement to lose it and it wasn’t budging. “
She became a stay at home mom and was struggling with how things were going for her. After all this, she finally decided to bring change in her life.
Nicole’s husband, Charlie, supported her in this struggle, but her friends were rude to her during and after her weight loss success.
According to Nicole, “They were not supportive at all. They would criticize everything about me and put me down not realizing their jokes hurt. They’d judge or joke about what I was wearing and tell me I wasn’t perfect. They were very negative.”
Nicole is now proud of her what she has achieved in her life; she is a personal trainer now and has ditched all her close friends who were criticizing her for no reason.
