A heartbroken woman revealed how she’s considering divorcing her husband after failing to fall pregnant for several years.
According to an anonymous lady who presented her case on Reddit, she and her husband had been trying to conceive for a very long time to no avail.
Since the woman has Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, she thought it was her fault that they couldn’t have a baby which is why she tried extra hard to conceive.
Despite all the “invasive and expensive treatments” and dozens of negative pregnancy tests, however, the outcome didn’t look promising and the woman’s doctor suggested her husband undergoes a check-up as well so that they could analyze his sperm.
After learning of this, the husband bluntly refused the request, whereas his wife couldn’t feel anything but understanding for him because she thought something was wrong with her.
It wasn’t until the husband opened up to his wife and revealed his dark secret that his wife finally knew what the real reason for their failures was.
As the man admitted, he had a vasectomy years ago when he was still together with his ex-wife. Afraid of losing his new partner, he then went on to keep his past a secret and lie to his new wife for several years despite her constant efforts to get pregnant.
Upset by her husband’s lies and deception, the woman threatened to divorce her husband if he failed to get his condition reversed or agree to find a sperm donor with her.
“I love him. But I am broken. And given his lies, I think we are better off not married. I could still get a sperm donor and honestly, might be for the best,” she wrote.
After her post went viral, the woman quickly received lots of support from netizens who slammed the man for lying to his wife about such an important thing for years while she was doing everything in her power to get pregnant.
