A woman has spoken out after her unfortunate job interview and revealed that the recruiters for the job she applied for were making fun of her in an accidental voicemail message.
Lily Rose-Wilson is a 25-year-old who received a cruel accidental voicemail message from a job recruiter, Michelle Lines, when she was applying as an administrator for the STS Health.
After missing a phone call from the employer, Lily was shocked to find out the recruiter accidentally left her a voicemail message in which she ridiculed her over her looks based on Facebook photos.
“Probably getting another tattoo,” one of the recruiters was heard saying before Lines responded to him by saying: “She’s probably doing her fake tan.”
The male recruiter then asked Lines whether she “Facebook stalked” Lily to which the recruiter responded with: “that’s what you got to do babe.”
Surprisingly, Lines then claimed she found Lily’s resume interesting but admitted she was put-off by her Facebook photos. “I don’t like her anymore. She’s taking selfies all the time,” she added.
After the incident, upset Rose-Wilson, who is an animal lover, spoke out and said she was disappointed by the recruiters’ decision to ridicule her over her pictures despite liking her resume.
“She really liked my resume. I could have been a possible candidate up for that job until she saw my photos,” Lily said.
After the girl’s story went viral, Lines apologized for her harsh words and admitted acting “immature.point 221 |
” However, she insisted she never meant to “hurt her feelings” and went on to suggest that social media profiles should be “more private” because it is “very important” what kind of pictures a job applicant makes visible to potential recruiters.point 219 | 1
