80-year-old Iris Jones has talked about her rollercoaster romance with her 35-year-old boyfriend.
The British pensioner first made headlines when she revealed that she was in a relationship with Egyptian Mohamed.
They had been chatting on Facebook when Iris decided to go to Cairo to see him.
The couple wanted to tie the knot in Egypt but the British Embassy told Iris that she needed a certificate of no impediment and her divorce papers. This means she is now saving up so she could go back to Cairo and marry Mohamed.
In an interview with This Morning hosts Phil and Holly, Iris shared about her relationship and also their first sexual encounter.
“The first night – pretty rough, it was rough,” she recalled. “Nobody has been with me for 35 years, I thought I was a virgin again. Can I say what we used? A whole tube of KY Jelly.”
She continued: “And the thing is, I couldn’t walk the next day, I felt as if I had been riding a horse. Saddle sore wasn’t in it. Anyway, we got over that – the sex is not the important thing.”
Twitter users said they were worried about Iris while others found the detailed description hard to stomach.
One wrote: “I can’t unsee this! Don’t get me wrong, I wish Iris all the love and happiness, I loved her honesty but this was a little too much.”
Another wrote: “Some things you don’t want to hear while eating your breakfast… Rough sex and KY jelly. Eek.”
A third added: “This made my bloody day… So funny bless her. I say good for her… You get it Iris if you can stock up on the KY.”
Iris also said to the Mirror: “We are absolutely equal in every way. He’s not using me. If anything I’m using him because my love for him is selfish – I’m not going to let him go.”
“Mohamed’s never asked for money. I don’t have any. I’ve done a lot for my boys over the years and I want them to understand that it’s time for me to be selfish now and look after myself,” she added.
Mohamed also explained: “This is not about money. Money is not everything. It cannot buy you happiness.
“Love has no age and knows no limits. Iris and I found we understood each other well and felt the tenderness. I do not care about anyone’s opinion – only what feels good to me.”
