Touching photographs show how a lady was forced to share her engagement news with her grandfather through the nursing home’s window.
Twenty-two-year-old Carly Boyd was proposed by her boyfriend over the weekend. However, due to the restrictions because of coronavirus at Lake Waccamaw’s Premier Living and Rehab Center, she could not meet her grandfather.
So, she was unable to show her engagement ring closely to her grandpa. The woman decided to go to his grandpa’s window where she showed her ring.
The grandfather could be seen resting on his bed. Carly revealed that this grandfather did not have a phone as he has dementia but she wanted to give him the happy news.
When she went to visit him, the staff suggested that they could put the blinds up and let her show the ring, to which she agreed.
At one point, the due placed their hands against each other on either side of the glass window. And in a picture, her grief and sadness can be easily seen through her expressions.
She told his grandfather that she loves him to which he replied he did too. Then, she expressed her desire to meet him in real soon. Such restriction is to avoid the spreading of coronavirus and keep the vulnerable age group safe.
Carly was proposed to by Trevor Sellers while the pair walked along North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. He works for the Department of Transportation and told her fiancé he loved her a lot and then popped the question while walking on the beach.
Carly revealed that the moment was highly emotional for the duo and both of them ended up crying. The couple plan to marry next year.
