Steph decided to lose weight when she couldn’t fit in a photo with her partner at a New Year’s Eve celebration. The couple had to stand side-on and when one of her friends posted the picture on Facebook, Steph realized she needed to lose weight.
Steph told Barcroft TV: “I’ve always been big; mum was having to get school uniforms especially made for me because nowhere stocked clothes to fit a child that young at such a big size.”
“I’ve always had to wear things that a grandma would wear.”
She changed her lifestyle, started eating healthy and joined the gym. She was going to the gym three times a week for an hour and also changed her diet.
She went from 24 stone to just under 10 stone but she wasn’t happy at all because her skin became saggy and she lost her confidence.
She stopped going out in public as people would say cruel things to her and this made her lose her confidence even more.

Steph then set up a GoFundMe page and had her excess skin removal surgery in Lithuania. Now, she has regained her confidence and looks fabulous.
Steph said: “Now it’s like I’ve been born again, I’ve got another life. I’ve spent my whole life trying to disguise me, I don’t want to hide away anymore.”
“Life is for living, so I want to be out there enjoying life.”
In one of the episodes of Brand New Me, Steph talked about her weight loss journey and her surgery.
