The famous South African woman who went viral after claiming she delivered 10 babies is now being admitted to a psychiatric ward as more and more doubts over her children’s existence increase.
Local media outlets reported how the hospital where the woman claims she had given birth, denied treating her in the first place. Moreover, South African authorities have also failed to find any clues that lead to the children’s existence.
37-year-old Gosiame Sithole made headlines after she said she gave birth to a world record of 10 children. At the same time, images of the pregnant woman also went viral, putting her giant tummy on display.
But things took a weird turn when Gosiame was recently admitted for a psychiatric evaluation, just a couple of days after her own husband went about claiming that the children never existed in the first place. And that’s the reason why his wife refuses to show him the babies, he added.
On the other hand, Gosiame’s lawyer alleges that his client is being held against her own will, as authorities escorted her to the hospital’s psychiatric ward for a mental health assessment in the city of Johannesburg.
Meanwhile, Gosiame was reportedly apprehended by the cops at one of her relative’s homes on Thursday, where she was present. Then, she was transported to a nearby police station, right before being handed over to a few social workers.
These workers then guided her along for a mental health test, explained local media outlets.
As more and more days go by, speculation about the news keeps on increasing, especially after the same hospital that she named as the location where she delivered the children denied her claims.
