Sometimes, a dog bite can make you suffer for your entire life.
Crystal Coombs approached the Botched doctors to help her overcome the mark of being bit by a dog.
Crystal was only 9-years-old when the dog had bitten her. She hardly remembers anything from that incident now. The mark remained because the chunk of the tissue was missing from her face after the dig bite.
Coombs initially headed towards the emergency area where the physicians asked her to first look for a plastic surgeon to repair the chunk of tissue. Coombs must have felt ridiculous when it was left open for a while, it seemed like a burnt area.
The plastic suggested Coombs of a skin graft. He also suggested the graft to be taken from the groin. Right after the surgery, the pubic hair started growing.
Coombs shared her grief that she was untold of the fact that literal pubic hair will grow after the surgery. One of the doctors even claimed that it is quite unusual for the doctor to opt groin for a skin graft.
Being a new mom, Coombs started to worry about her future. At earlier times, she never cared enough about the skin graft. She doesn’t want her kids to be teased while taking them to school.
Therefore, Coombs simply asked the doctor to reduce the area of her facial patch but that included possible dangers of ruining the face structure. The case turned out to be more complicated than it seemed to be.
A skin graft is very risk-taking and can leave the face deformed even if altered a bit. Doctors also added that Crystal could have gone under a reconstruction work for her skin instead.
Crystal is left devastated with the patch and doesn’t want her kids to suffer from any kind of bully in their school or playgrounds. The strong lady was never disheartened with the patch before.
