The owner of the unlicensed daycare called 911 after she found the baby unresponsive on a sleeping mat with cushions that prevent an infant from rolling over.

Officers responded to Anderson’s home and found her screaming while carrying the child.

The infant was rushed to Sky Ridge Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Cops arrived at Anderson’s home a short time later but she did not let them enter her premises.

According to reports, she told officers that she did babysitting ‘on the side’ and was taking care of 12 children at that time.

However, deputies discovered that there were 17 children, including three babies, under her care when the 3-month-old baby passed away.

Officers, who obtained a search warrant for Anderson’s home, also discovered adult supplements and cleaning products that were in the children’s reach.

The cause of death hasn’t been released but Anderson told other parents that the infant passed away from SIDS, 9News reported.

Police questioned parents of some of the kids and they were aware that Anderson was running an unlicensed daycare.

Some parents were paying more than $400 a week for two children.

One parent said to deputies that Anderson did not want to get a license for her daycare as she would “have to pick up items around the house such as shampoo, conditioner and other household items.”

According to reports, state officials sent her five cease and desist requests before the incident occurred. She received two more letters since the infant’s death.
