Driving is so much a part of our lives that we often forget that we’re cruising around in a 1-ton contraption that can ruin lives if things go awry.
That’s why people are given driving lessons and need to pass tests before being given a driver’s license. But somehow, driving vehicles every day sometimes numbs us to just how big a responsibility we’re shouldering each time we get behind the wheel.

Apart from competently driving one’s vehicle, a clear understanding of local traffic rules will help avoid accidents. Unfortunately, not everyone is aware of the rules or choose to follow them and that’s a recipe for a disaster.
One woman driver apparently didn’t understand or refused to accept the concept of the right of way and was called out for it by the driver who had his dashcam on. But instead of admitting her mistake, she even became hostile about it.
The incident happened in a small city in Ontario, Canada, as cars were going through a 4-way stop from three directions. As the traffic lights were blinking, that meant it was up to the drivers to continue or give way, depending on the situation.
The Ontario Highway Traffic Act and the rules of the road published by The Ministry Of Transporation Ontario mandate that vehicles are required to yield to any other vehicle that is already at the intersection. Should both vehicles stop simultaneously, one should give way to the vehicle on the right. Furthermore, vehicles that are turning left should yield to vehicles that are going straight.
Our point of view comes from a driver who is following a white mini-van on the road. At the intersection in question, the white van hesitates for a fraction of a second before proceeding ahead. But a woman driving a red car was also turning her car left at the same time.
It also seems as if the red car would hit the van but fortunately, the car slows a bit and the van swerves a bit to the right and an accident is avoided. But that didn’t stop the woman from honking her horn.
Once all the cars stop at a traffic light, the man with the dashcam pulls over beside the woman’s car and tells her that the white van had the right of way. But the woman replied, “No, he didn’t.” So the driver quoted the rules stated earlier and then parts with, “You look like an i***t!” To which the woman retorts, “F**k you!”
Although it can be quite embarrassing to be called out in public, if one is in the wrong then there’s no other way except to admit it so that the mistake isn’t repeated. And even more important is to be cognizant of the rules so that one isn’t put into the situation of getting called out in the first place!
Replaced!
