A 37-year-old woman is sharing her heartbreaking experience after a beauty treatment gone horribly wrong.

Svetlana who is an architect from Russia explained her nightmare experience when she opted to embark upon a beauty treatment that promised to make her face appear fresh and youthful.

Unfortunately, the treatment managed to do the complete opposite, leaving her skin sagging and giving her a ‘mummy’ like appearance.

“I just don’t know what went wrong. I opted to try this beauty treatment because my boyfriend told me I appeared older but little did I know that it would ruin my look forever,” she cried.

Svetlana added how the new drug that she used destroyed the collagen that was present in her skin and in the end, she aged more than ten years overnight.

The treatment had the complete opposite effect of what it promised, the woman explained, adding how horrified she became after seeing her new look in the mirror. “My face shrank like what you see during the process of mummification,” she added.

The woman spoke about how a cosmetic surgeon from Russia talked her into getting the treatment is done which comprised of using a new drug that had recently been approved for use in the United Kingdom and several other Western countries. But what it actually did was irreversibly age her ten years.

The horrified architect added how she rushed to doctors after seeing her look, but they were confused and didn’t know what to do. “It’s like your face is falling off, it’s melting and they don’t know how to treat it,” she cried.

“The connection of my skin towards my skull, referred to as ligaments, has disappeared. It’s so scary and strange at the same time,” the woman added.

While a criminal case has recently been launched by her in Russia, Svetlana says that she fears her love life and career are certainly over with her new appearance. However, she hopes her incident can raise awareness for other women to steer clear of treatments like these.
