According to a recent survey conducted by National Statistics in the UK, the number of single women is growing drastically.
The survey’s target audience was around 4,000 women aged 18 to 49, and out of those 4,000 women, only half were married. The number has grown almost double as compared to the 2007 statistics. And according to the report, girls become happier after their breakups which is why they end up staying single for the most part of their lives.

1) Girls work harder in relationships
There is no doubt that girls put extra effort into building and maintaining a relationship. That’s why they get tired of always put in efforts for the relationships. So after a couple of breakups, they decided to take a break and find out they are more relaxed and can finally have time for themselves.
2) They start doing the things they always wanted to do
After most of the breakups, girls start doing the things that they have always dreamt of doing, like taking yoga classes, learning tango dance etc. These things were not possible when they were in a relationship but they achieve their goals after the breakups, making them much happier.
3) They discover love for themselves
When a girl is dating someone, most of the times, she would be thinking for her lover – what he wants to eat, what color he wants her to wear, and what places he wants to go. But after the breakup, they start living their own lives and fall in love with themselves once they start spending time alone. They don’t have to worry about what others feel, but start being more confident about themselves and become more independent.
