A middle-aged woman of 26, Chloe Haines attempted to open the window of the plane door in the middle of the flight.
She yelled, saying that she wished to kill everyone on the aircraft.
For this, she has been jailed for two years and news for the same has been announced at the Chelmsford Crown court. The flight boarded from Stansted Airport on the 22nd of June 2019.
Due to this incident, two fighter jets met with the Jet2 flight and managed to bring back the flight to the Essex airport that was destined to reach the Dalaman, Turkey.
Haines was arrested by police after the aircraft landed as she troubled the passengers and the cabin crew on the flight.
As per details of the court hearing, Chloe Haines could not remember details of the incident she had occurred as she had alcohol with medication.
In a hearing, Chloe Haines admitted that she wanted to put the passengers and cabin crew in trouble on the plane.
Due to this incident, Ms. Charley Coombe, who is a cabin crew member suffered an injury as she tried to prevent Haines from trying to open the aircraft door in the middle of the journey.
Haines has been crying during her hearing, to which Judge Charles Gratwicke commented that the ones confined in the plane would be frightened by the actions of the ones who wish to endanger their lives while drunk.
Even for some, these incidents can be their worst fear. However, the airlines have calculated that the incident has caused them a loss of $86000.
