In a sweet moment, an oil worker sacrificed his warm coffee to free the kittens from the ice after their tails got frozen to the ground.
The unusual rescue mission occurred in Tomahawk, Alberta, where Canadian oil worker Kendall Diwisch discovered three adorable kittens whose tails were frozen to the ground.
To help them break free, Mr. Diwisch poured his hot coffee on the ground to melt the ice and allow the kittens to move.
After the successful rescue, the man has also shared his story on Facebook where he confirmed he’d do everything in his power to get the kittens a new home.
“I found these three fellows on one of the back roads near one of my wells. Most likely dropped off. Poor things were frozen into the ice so they had to have been there all night,” he wrote in his post.
“Took them home, fed and watered them, they look to be healthy and friendly. If any friends are looking to have a new addition in their family, let us know as they will need homes. All three look to be males, and we also gave them dewormer.”
Immediately, the kind-hearted worker’s post went viral whereas people applauded him for his selfless rescue and called him a hero.
“All three little rascals went to their new home today where they get to be together instead of separating them. All three are eating and drinking and very energetic,” Mr. Diwisch added in an update.
“Thanks for everyone’s consideration and offering to take them very appreciated.”
