A retired navy pilot, 97-year-old Chuck Franzke’s provided a potent dose of Monday motivation to social media users when a sweet video clip of Chuck’s dance was shared on Instagram by a page known as Good News Movement.
The video shows Chuck dancing to “Can’t Stop the Feeling” in Wisconsin, while strictly following the guidelines regarding social distancing.
The video starts with Chuck appearing on the far end of his doorway and the lyrics in the background say: “I feel that hot blood in my body when it drops (ooh) / I can’t take my eyes up off it, movin’ so phenomenally.”
Chuck dances, twerks and leans left and right as he moves out of the doorway and reaches the porch.
After reaching the front porch, Chuck can be seen tapping his feet back and forth as he rolls his arms in the air. He then shuffles his hands and continues executing dance moves with his feet.
The video was found adorable not only by a number of social media users but also by Timberlake himself.
Timberlake’s comment on the post consisted of praise hands, 100 and fire emojis, along with the words: “This just made my day.”
The caption of the Instagram post said: “MONDAY MOTIVATION: Even under quarantine, 97-year-old Wisconsin WWII Navy pilot Chuck ‘Dancing Chuck’ Franzk ‘can’t stop the feeling.’”
This is not the first time Chuck’s adorable dance moves have melted hearts all over the world. He has been in this field for quite some time now.
Chuck made it to the headlines in 2017 when his dance video on Christmas music went viral on social media.
Speaking to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Chuck said: “I don’t know, I just get up there and some music just starts playing and I just start bouncing around.
“When the music stops, I go back and sit down.”
Chuck’s wife, Beverley, spoke of her husband’s love for dance in 2018. In a statement to CBS 58, she said at the time: “He always was a pretty good dancer.”
Chuck and Beverley have been man and wife for 80 years now. They told the news outlet that they enjoy dancing together very much.
“We were big band fans,” Chuck told CBS 58. “I used to jitterbug when I was young. I can’t jitterbug today. My balance isn’t good. But I just like music and I like her too.”
Other than dancing, the 97-year-old veteran gives time to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, a charitable body that helps veterans go to Washington DC and see the war memorials.
