These are probably the world’s furriest rabbits as the length of their fur is almost 15 inches.
Betty Chu, a 70-year-old retired professor from San Jose State University, California, is the proud owner of these rabbits.
Betty, a former professor of economics, was first introduced to the breed by a friend 34 years ago. Since then, she is breeding the world’s furriest rabbits.
She now has 50 English and French angora rabbits at her home in San Jose, California.
Betty has won a number of awards for producing angora rabbits. One of her bunnies Franchesca won the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest fur in the world, measuring 14.37 inches.
Betty said about breeding the furriest rabbits: “You need to have the right genetics; not all angora rabbits have the ability to grow and maintain a long coat. Next, you need to take very good care. The owner needs to be very vigilant in keeping the rabbit well-maintained and in good condition.”
When the video of her rabbits was posted online, people were left in awe as they look so adorable. People praised her for producing the cute rabbits as one user wrote: ‘Can we just talk about how cute Ms. Betty Chu is? You can tell that she genuinely enjoys what she does and loves her rabbits.’
Another user said: ‘This woman is so adorable. I love how she says “her hidden treasure”’ while the third one said: ‘She genuinely loves her rabbits and all, but some of the stuff is kinda bad. Your rabbits are amazingly amazing and fluffy and I love them and you do an amazing job!?’
The rabbits are definitely adorable! It takes a lot of hard work to groom them and we should thank this lady for this.
