Halloween is around the corner and everyone is sharing their opinion about favorite candies. A list of 12 best and worst candies published on reputable websites. They even surveyed over 30,000 of our own customers and put the best and worst candies into a spreadsheet.
Candy corn received the title of worst candy with the most negative feedback from both news accounts and news sites.
It slid up into the #1 spot this year. This candy most often found in the United States and Canada, popular primarily around Halloween. The three colors of the candy – a broad yellow end, a tapered orange center, and a pointed white tip.
Apart from Candy corn, here are the candies that received the negative reviews and worst Halloween candy title.
Bit-O-Honey
This candy was ranked #11 last year and moved into the number ten spot this year, replacing Mary Janes.
Good & Plenty
This candy was ranked #9 this year. Good & Plenty is a brand of licorice candy. The candy is a narrow cylinder of sweet black licorice, coated in a hard candy shell to form a capsule shape.
Licorice
This candy is a confection usually flavored and colored black with the extract of the roots of the licorice plant Glycyrrhiza glabra. It was ranked #8 this year.
Smarties
These candies are peanut-free, gluten-free, fat-free and dairy-free. It took place at number 7.
Tootsie Rolls
This is a mildly chocolate-flavored taffy-like candy that has been manufactured in the United States since 1907. It was ranked on #6.
Necco Wafers
This candy took the fifth spot on the list. Necco Wafers is the namesake candy formerly made by the now-defunct New England Confectionery Company (Necco).
Wax Coke Bottles
Here comes the candy which was placed on number 4 in the list of worst Halloween candies. Wax Bottles is what we called them but officially they are known as Nik-L-Nips. Small wax bottles with flavored syrup inside.
Peanut Butter Kisses
This candy jumped from the fifth spot to three. Soft and chewy molasses candy filled with a peanut butter.
Circus Peanuts
Last year it was rated as the #1 worst on everyone’s list. But this year, Circus Peanuts candies have jumped to number two.
