A fish was recently found in a pond that is located at the Fenimore Park in Pennsylvania.
The fish had spiked teeth and a long mouth, which made it look like an alligator. And because of its prehistoric look, it became a topic of discussion over the internet.
Radnor Township Police Department recently shared the pictured of this ‘rare’ fish on Facebook and Twitter. They mentioned that the Radnor Township Animal Control was informed by the locals about this fish.
By the time people found it, it was already dead. According to the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, it was an Alligator Gar Fish and it died because it was not able to sustain in cold water.
The police department also said that this type of fish is usually found in the Gulf of Mexico and it was turned over to Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for “preservation and educational purposes.”
At the end of the post, the department requested people to not leave their ‘rear pets’ in the department’s parks.
But if people need to relocate their pets, they can give the department a call and the department will help them in finding a suitable location for their pets.
Due to its rear features, the picture of the fish captured so many people’s attention on the internet. The comments varied from person to person.
While some said that it was an ‘interesting’ creature, the others said that they never saw something like this. One person even said that he thought that it was a joke.
Someone commented on the picture on Facebook, informing that their 5-year-old son was super thrilled after he saw the picture and said that it was his favorite fish.
He/she then thanked the department for posting the picture and making their son’s morning a little more exciting.
