This young couple who recently become a house owner shared how they saved up Euro 13000 in merely six months.

It is not such a big secret, and most of it includes them living on the bare minimum for this time period.

They have done sofa-surfing at their friends and families home, leverage the Help to Buy scheme by the government, which allows the young people to get a mortgage at 5%.

But this couple owned a house at the age of 19 and 20, which is truly incredible and we have to give them credit for the same. 

Joshua Shaw, a 20-year old service worker, and Wiktoria, Zaucha his 19-year old girlfriend who is a deputy manager were not having it with high rent they had to pay every month.

After saving for six months, today they are the owner of a three-floor house in Birmingham that is worth Euro 222,995. 

During these six months, the couple cut them off from all the luxury expenditures and eventually saved enough money to pay the initial deposit. 

Joshua said that they were sofa-surfing at their parent’s friend’s and sibling’s houses while they were working full-time jobs. Additionally, the couple also did all the overtime they could do during this time.

 In fact, there were times when the couple worked 16 hours a day. While exhausting, it was certainly worth it. When they decided to save, he was earning Euro 18,000, and Wiktoria was earning Euro 19000. 

The couple saved around Euro 13000 with a lot of sacrifice on their part. He explained as soon as you get the paycheck instantly put 40 to 50% into the savings; this way you are more likely to forget about it.
