While most of the people think it is almost impossible to buy your own house when you are young, this couple is not just proving all such people wrong.

But they are also sharing their success story of how they raised £13,000 just in 6 months for their house and are not the proud owners at the same time.

Well, to be honest from their side, the two just spent six months fiddling from one sofa to another at their friend’s and family’s houses and a little help, about 5% of mortgage from the government made their dream come true and we should say they did a commendable job.

Getting your own house at the age of 19 and 20 is as difficult as it seems but these two made it happen.

Joshua Shaw is 20 years old and works in the customer service department and makes about £18,000 and his girlfriend Wiktoria Zaucha, who is a store manager, is able to make £19,000.

They combined started saving for their house after they had tried renting one.

The two decided to invest in their own house rather than in someone else’s house after they had heard the amount of rent in the region.

They started saving money and have saved £13,000 every month.

How did they do it? They started sleeping at their friend’s, parent’s and sibling’s places.

They would do overtime whenever they could.

They had cut down on all the luxuries and unnecessary things like eating out or the takeaways, cutting down on all the subscriptions, no night outs, no luxury items, etc.

Joshua even sold his car and walked or took public transport to work which helped him save a lot.

They were finally able to buy a hose of three floors £222,995 less than in a year’s time. Now they are so proud of it.
